Dr. Viv, originally from Melbourne, Australia, embarked on her medical journey at Monash University, where she graduated in 2003. With over 20 years’ experience, she honed her skills in London, United Kingdom, where she completed her general practice training alongside specialized training in general pediatrics, including neonatal and developmental pediatrics.
During her time in the UK, Dr. Viv pursued higher education, earning a Masters Degree in Public Health from the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Diseases (MscPH). This comprehensive education equipped her with a deep understanding of the multifaceted aspects influencing health outcomes. Additionally, she delved into the realm of medical humanities through a Masters of Arts (M.A.).
Drawing from her diverse expertise, Dr. Viv adopts a holistic approach to general medicine, emphasizing evidence-based practices. Known for her approachability, empathy, and non-judgmental demeanor, she fosters strong connections with families and professionals alike. As a mother of two young children, she intimately understands the dynamics and challenges faced by both parents and children.
Throughout her career, Dr. Viv has held various leadership and advisory roles in the UK healthcare landscape. She has spearheaded integrative strategies in mental health care and contributed to healthcare policy development. Additionally, her involvement in collaborative healthcare education and academia underscores her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and practice.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Viv is a passionate epicurean with a love for music, including her talents as a pianist, violinist, and occasional jazz performer with a Latin band. She finds joy in exploring diverse forms of art, nature, and sports, from hiking and water sports to photography and travel. Dr. Viv’s insatiable curiosity drives her to immerse herself in different cultures and experiences, embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm.
Dr. Viv warmly welcomes consultations across a wide spectrum of general practice and family medicine, whether in person or through telehealth. Her special interests include women’s health, baby and child wellbeing, breastfeeding and infant sleep support, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Fluent in Mandarin, Teochew, and French, she ensures inclusivity and accessibility for all patients, affirming her commitment to the LGBTIQA+ community.
